Lorry Loader Course (HIAB)
The Lorry Loader (HIAB) course is a blend of classroom and outdoor activities.
In the classroom, video presentation and on-line IT systems will help you gain theoretical knowledge on a range of subjects including Health & Safety issues, hydraulic principals, lifting capacities, different types of loads, crane attachments and slinging duties. This will be followed by a written test.
The outdoor activity will cover vehicle siting, pre-operation checks, operating radius, hydraulic controls, banksman commands and lifting: loading/unloading. This will be followed by a practical test.
As an Independent Training Standards Scheme and Register (ITSSAR) approved centre, Red Rose Lorry Loader courses meet nationally approved standards. Training can also be conducted on client's own premises provided there are suitable facilities.
Upon successful completion, candidates will receive a nationally recognised ITSSAR certificate and identity card covering all Lorry Loader attachments. The certificate is valid for a period of 5 years.
