Course Objectives:
The route to LPG competence is via a generic core competence route with sector-specific appliance assessments or via changeover modules from domestic or non-domestic sectors.
The specific areas covered include fuel characteristics, cylinder/tank location, safety requirements and sizing, supply pressures, positioning of emergency isolation, flow control and cylinder valves, emergency actions and procedures, unsafe situations, pipework and fittings, tightness testing, legislation, combustion, safety devices and controls and establishing gas supplies and relighting appliances.
What ACS assessments are available?
- Part A: CCLP 1 - Generic LPG core, common to permanent dwellings (PD) residential park homes (RPH), leisure accommodation vechiles (LAV) and boats, yachts and other vessels (B).
- Part B: CCLP 1 - Sector specific for PD, RPH, LAV and B.
- Part D: CoNGLP 1 - Generic fuel changeover NG to LPG.
HTRLP 2 - Installation, exchange, service, repair and breakdown and commission closed flued fires.
HTRLP 3 - Installation, exchange, service, repair and breakdown and commission caravan space heaters.
WATLP 2 - Installation, exchange, service, repair and breakdown and commission caravan water heaters.
