This Masters programme provides professionals working full-time, part-time or in voluntary positions the opportunity to undertake credit-rated work based projects that make real and tangible work based enhancements.
Designed for individuals who benefit from autonomist and independent learning, the programme enables you to advance your own practices and develop innovative ways of working. It is a particularly useful programme for those who are keen to demonstrate leadership skills and to promote initiatives that contribute to change and development in their organisation.
Working together with yourself and your organisation, we’ll build a course of study centred on pertinent work based issues that can be translated into projects to advance and innovate within your organisation. Each programme is individual and-05-include development of a new set of skills in order to deliver a new service, or it-05-be a means by which work based practices are made more effective and efficient. You’ll either become ‘Fit for a new Role’ or contribute to the bigger agenda of ensuring the workforce and work practices are ‘Fit for Practice’.
You’ll also have the option to access a selection of more structured leadership and management orientated modules, as well as work based modules. Structured modules include face-to-face delivery time from academic and industry experts and peer assisted action learning.
Your final work-based project is the equivalent of a Dissertation (60 credits). Your final award title will reflect the content and/or context of your particular programme of study. Supervision for the work based project is also expected to be a shared arrangement between University and employer.
