History

I first devised my confidence and self-esteem course in 2007. I adapted it to teach adults at Mountbatten School, Romsey; Eastleigh College; and Totton College - at both introductory and intermediate levels. In 2011 I taught a group of women refugees in Southampton.

In June 2010 I started my own counselling practice in Romsey. Many clients come to me for help with self-esteem issues.

In January 2011 I started teaching the 'Basics of Counselling' course at Eastleigh College.

Advantages of studying here

Extensive knowledge, through my own training as a counsellor, of personal development skills and techniques. I have devised the courses myself and continue to improve them based my continuing learning as well as feedback from participants.

Areas of specialisation

Description

I teach personal development courses for adults seeking help with confidence and self-esteem. I'm a member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) and the UK Association of Humanistic Psychology Practitioners, and a member of the Institute for Learning.

My core approach is Humanistic/Gestalt, which aims to increase personal awareness. I also use CBT methods where appropriate.
