Maintenance & Crosscutting

The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) require employers to provide adequate training and to ensure that chainsaws and related equipment are operated only by employees who have received appropriate training in their safe use. We can provide training and assessment to Lantra standard or training in preparation for NPTC assessment for CS30.

The course will cover the following elements:

  • How to keep the chainsaw in a good condition
  • How to protect yourself and operate the machinery safely
  • Site safety awareness
  • Personal protective clothing
  • Chainsaw safety features and crosscutting and timber stacking.
