The beautician is a professional figure specialized in the study of the face, in symmetries, proportions and harmony, enhancing beauty and giving charm to the face. Thanks to the in-depth knowledge of the subject, he is able to correct imperfections through make-up and accentuate the strengths, giving the person a new image. In his work, the beautician identifies the specific protocols and treatments for the different characteristics present on the face, as he is aware of the corrective techniques of realization, of shadows and light and of the effects on the face. The beautician also knows all aspects related to the face and skin, starting from the chemical-dermatological level up to the purely aesthetic one, and is able to carry out treatments to improve the appearance of the skin with massages and creams, and to make it perfect with the study of the morphology of the face and corrective makeup. The Beautician Make-up Artist is a highly qualified figure, who knows both dermatology and basic chemistry in order to know what the possible reactions of the skin may be in contact with the most used products. To be able to carry out this profession there are numerous training courses that aim to train make-up artists who can operate in different sectors of aesthetics and entertainment: fashion, cinema, TV and theater. The course ranges from basic corrective make-up to bridal make-up, from evening make-up to that typical of the various eras.
