Make Jewellery from Found Objects

Course Outline:
During this 2-day workshop, we will look at ways of combining sterling silver with non-precious found objects.
We will be creating a keepsake brooch, which will include your own significant small found objects such as old jewellery, objects in wood/ plastic, old toys, shells, beads, etc.

What will we learn?
We will construct a silver container, using piercing and soldering techniques, then we will use rivets and other cold connections to include the found objects. We will also create hand-made brooch fastenings.
Some piercing and soldering experience would be an advantage.
Your tutor will work with you as a group and as individuals to support and guide you through your learning.

What will I need to bring?
We will supply all the tools and equipment needed for jewellery making.
Silver will be provided for this session. Please bring any small found objects you wish to include.
Please wear closed shoes for Health & Safety reasons.
