Training will take place in our well equipped, modern salons and make up studio, with instruction from our team of highly skilled, qualified and supportive tutors.
Assessment will include practical observations on paying clients, written assignments, computer based tests and building portfolio of evidence.  There will be a requirement to complete written work at home to allow maximum time in college to develop practical skills.

Course programme


You will be taught through a combination of classroom and studio based activities and will complete written and practical work. You will learn practical make-up application skills and techniques by working on your classmates, before moving on to work on paying clients in our real life working salon.


You will be required to purchase a kit and uniform, details of which will be provided at interview.




You will cover the following units:



  • Make up application techniques – such as day, evening and special occasion looks

  • Health and Safety related to make-up application

  • Communicating with clients.
