Course review:

A CPD accredited course, available for anyone, anywhere in the world who wishes to enjoy the exquisite experience of making their own perfume and scented products.

During this unique accredited programme, you will learn all about the history of perfume and how it has influenced style and mood from ancient times and still today. You will learn all about natural and synthetic ingredients used in perfume making, their benefits, what they are for and why they are used.

We delve into the world of beautiful essential oils and identify what makes top, middle and base notes and how they fit in with different aroma-family classifications. Taking the role of a 'nose' we analyse top brands of perfume to see how they are formulated and what makes them so popular and successful.

You will become skilled at layering and blending techniques and use these to create a variety of stunning, unusual and breathtakingly beautiful products including perfume, solid perfume, scented oils, perfumed body butter and a room/linen spray.

We will provide you with all the packaging and ingredients you require for the course which includes 23 stunning essential oils/fragrance oils, shea and cocoa butters, grapeseed and coconut oils, waxes, resin, alcohol-free perfume dilutants and solubisers and more, plus full instructions, safety information and course notes, hints and tips and stamped addressed envelopes for you to return your assignments to us. We will also provide you with a mixing beaker, pipettes, and other various utensils, although you will be required to supply the more 'normal' equipment such as apron, plates, spoons, saucepans etc. A list of required equipment is supplied with the course notes.
