With the technology currently available to filmmakers, making a first feature film has never been easier or more accessible. Even in the current economic climate there are gifted and enthusiastic people defying the odds to commit their vision to cinema screens worldwide.

In this 8 hour workshop director Graham Cantwell will take you step by step through the stages of feature film production on a modest budget and will pass on all the hard earned knowledge he has accumulated over 13 years working at all levels of the industry.

The course will cover all aspects of the filmmaking process from sourcing a budget to the practicalities of shooting a feature length film on a micro budget and the logistics and requirements of post production and marketing & distribution.

Practical examples will be demonstrated using footage and materials from Graham's many films including the IFTA nominated feature film ANTON and award winning short films A DUBLIN STORY and ONE CAREFUL OWNER. Support materials such as templates and handouts will be provided to give you a deeper understanding of all the tools necessary to get a production off the ground.
