Course programme

You must be working in a management role. Course Content Qualification structure You need to complete all mandatory units to a total of 14 credits and a minimum of 11 credits from the optional units group. To achieve the qualification a minimum of 25 credits is required. Mandatory core (3 units) • Manage own professional development within an organisation • Set objectives and provide support for team members • Plan, allocate and monitor work of a team Example of optional units • Manage personal development • Develop, maintain and review personal networks • Review risk management processes and manage risk in own area of responsibility • Manage or support equality of opportunity, diversity and inclusion in own area of responsibility • Provide leadership and direction for own area of responsibility • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, ethical and social requirements • Support team members in identifying, developing and implementing new ideas • Implement change in own area of responsibility • Manage conflict in a team • Lead and manage meetings • Support individuals to develop and take responsibility for their performance • Know how to follow disciplinary procedures. How will I be assessed? You will be assessed in the workplace using several different methods including observation of practice, questioning and witness testimonies from senior staff. This is collected in a portfolio of evidence.
