Introduction:
The Institute of Occupational Safety and Health programme Managing Safely is a recognised qualification for supervisory staff that have designated safety responsibilities for managing safety within a department or functional area. The programme contains seven modules coupled with written and practical assessments.

Study Mode & Location:
This 8 week course will be held at Preston College, Fulwood Campus, St Vincent`s Road, Preston, PR2 8UR.

Course Content:
Students will study the following modules:

  • Safety management
  • Reactive monitoring
  • Risk Assessment and control
  • Active Monitoring
  • Review and audit
  • Health and Safety legislation
  • Hazards-General


Assessment:
Assessment is by external examination and assignment at the end of the training programme.

Careers & Progression Opportunities:
Successful candidates can progress onto a NEBOSH National General Certificate.

How To Apply
You will need to have an informal interview with a Adult Admissions Adviser.
Many courses have limited places so please enquire as soon as possible. Following interview, the earliest you may enrol is mid-June.
