Overview
The MSP Foundation and Practitioner course is based upon the "Managing Successful Programmes-2007 edition" which describes "best practise" guidance for handling all types of transformational change programmes" The course is designed to teach the basic principles of good programme management in line with the Principles, Governance Themes and Transformational flow described in the MSP approach and to prepare delegates for the foundation and Practitioner examinations, held within the course. There are no formal prerequisites to this course, but it is anticipated that delegates will have an understanding of, and preferably experience in, the issues surrounding business change. The Foundation course is an intensive 3 day event, requiring delegates to undertake some evening work in their own time, and is followed by a 2 day Practitioner event. Delegates may choose to attend both modules together or separately, however it should be noted that delegates wishing to sit the practitioner examination must hold the foundation qualification.
Examination information
Foundation Examination - the first level of MSP qualification, this examination will be held on the afternoon of day 3: - 50 multiple choice questions - 40 mintues to answer - 50% required to pass - 25/30 - No reference material permitted. Practitioner Examination - the second level of MSP qualification, this scenario based examination will be held on day 5: - 9 " Objective Assessment" questions - each question is worth 20 marks - all questions to be attempted - 2.5 hours to answer - 50% required to pass - 90/180 - No reference material permitted
