Despite this rapid growth in the ease of use, speed and robustness of the tool, considerable expertise is still required to ensure that accurate simulations are achieved. The course reviews sources of error and uncertainty within the CFD solution process and presents strategies for understanding, quantifying and controlling their impact. The principles and practical importance of code and solution verification, and simulation validation, are considered through a series of case studies.
