ALL WALES LOCAL GOVERNMENT MANUAL HANDLING TRAINING PASSPORT AND INFORMATION SCHEME MODULES A AND B
Introduction:
This programme has been designed in line with the requirements of Modules A and B of the All Wales Local Government Manual Handling Training Passport and Information Scheme.
Objective:
To ensure delegates are aware of what causes load handling injuries and how injuries affect the individual, the employer and society. To provide instruction and facilitate the application of load risk assessment, including the safer handling of inanimate loads and application of ergonomic principles, to ensure the health and safety of the staff.

Inanimate load handling and practical application of ergonomics

CIEH PRINCIPLES OF MANUAL HANDLING
This Level 1 qualification is aimed at those who carry out manual handling at work, introducing candidates to the risks of manual handling and the controls available.
Who needs this qualification?
Appropriate for all employees who handle materials, boxes, mail and packages including both industrial and office workers.
Subjects covered the process of manual handling in the workplace manual handling injuries and the activities which cause them manual handling assessment and control options responsibilities imposed by the manual handling operations regulations.
