Who the course is aimed at:
For anyone involved with manual handling including Hospital staff, Nurses, Porters and carers of the elderly employed in hospitals, nursing or residential care homes.
Course content:
· A reminder of the regulations
· Review the causes of strain, fatigue and injury along with safe and efficient handling technique in practice.
· A practical demonstration on safer moving and handling of people
· How age, fatigue and general health can affect peoples ability to mobilise independently.
· Look at unsafe practice
