· Summary of the Manual Handling Regulations.
· Awareness of Risk Assessment.
· Minimising the dangers and preventing injury.
· Re - designing the tasks and loads.
· Common injuries and lifting techniques.
· Back structure and reasons for injury.
· Lifting capacities.
· Hazards and problems in Motor Vehicle Workshops.
· "Video".
· Correct methods of lifting (kinetics).
· Practical session in workshop.
· Personal Protective Equipment ( P.P.E.).
· Written tests.
· Course review and open forum.
· Course critique.

Personal protective equipment is required.
