This course is for individuals employed in the Sewn Products Industry. It is suitable for young men and women with various skills and an interest in the subject. You will need to enjoy working in a practical way and within a team. You will also need to be keen to train both at work and at College.

There are many aspects of Sewn Products, including: Prepare components Carrying out complex manufacturing operations Machine sew components to produce textile goods Investigate Health and Safety procedures Use of machinery in a safe environment Maintain the quality of production Most jobs combine a number of these aspects, but whichever job you choose to do, your NVQ will be structured so that the training matches your job. You will work for your employer for four days a week and train for one day a week either in-house or at College.
