Overview
The Manufacturing degree course develops an understanding of the sciences and disciplines relating to manufacture and shows how they can be applied to the creation and operation of production processes in manufacturing industries. The course emphasises the integrated nature of advanced manufacturing technology and extensive use is made of projects and case study material to build up conceptual understanding and an imaginative approach to open-ended problems.
Management topics are an integral part of the course, comprising a quarter of the course, covering such areas as Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain Management and Business Strategy.
Typical Subjects Studied
Our courses are based on a common programme of core engineering in the first two years. The core programme is made up of the engineering sciences, mathematics, computing, design and manufacturing.

- Group business and design project OR
