This Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) accredited Marketing degree has been designed to produce graduates with an advanced understanding of the dynamic role of marketing. It will equip students with appropriate technical skills, practical knowledge and strategic vision to enhance employment opportunities in a traditional and digital marketing environment. Consumers today are offered a huge range of products and services so organisations are turning to marketing to help interpret customers’ needs and develop techniques to communicate the benefits of these choices. This degree will help students understand how marketing helps an organisation gain competitive advantage and deliver added value to establish a reason why customers choose one business over another. This widespread adoption of marketing means there are numerous opportunities to pursue exciting and varied careers in the marketing profession. Marketing can be studied as a Single Honours, for students interested in one of the many specialist roles within Marketing, or it can be combined with other Business School subjects, for example, marketing with Accounting, Advertising Management, Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management or Business Studies, or with subjects from across the University for example Digital Media, Sports Science or English to suit individual career aspirations.
