Why study BA(Hons) Marketing Communication Management?
Marketing communication management is a dynamic field encompassing a broad range of disciplines. On and off-line channels include advertising, digital marketing, public relations, direct marketing, design and sales promotion. These all require a strong understanding and co-ordination from a strategic level.
To be successful in this field, you must have a diverse skill set. You need to be analytical yet highly creative. You should also be a strategic thinker with the ability to communicate ideas to clients and colleagues.
Why study our course?
If you are self-motivated and keen to move into a career in an agency or in-house communications, this course will help you get there.
Your class-based activities focus on testing and developing your marketing knowledge through real world challenges and problem-solving. You prepare for these sessions by using videos, case studies, quizzes and research, ensuring every moment of your contact time is interactive and engaging. You will work in small groups with academic guidance and employer mentors to set challenges, provide feedback on your individual progress and guide your learning.
During your first year, you develop a 'mini-agency' with your own brand, digital media presence, print materials and strategy based upon the academic learning in tutorials, and with employer guidance. As you progress, you use these skills to address case studies, and support local businesses and not-for-profit organisations with their marketing challenges. You go on to study market research, global and intercultural marketing, and business-to-business communication. There are also options to study abroad for a year with one of our partner universities
Real world experience
You address real world issues from the outset. You will learn from visiting professionals and meeting local businesses, enabling you to network and gain valuable real-world insight. You are also strongly encouraged...
