About this course

Course Benefits ​You will not only study theoretical foundations of Marketing, but you will explore the breadth of real-life case studies and industry experiences together with our lecturing staff, who all have significant professional business experience and have worked for major international companies such as Nestle, Bacardi-Martini, Procter & Gamble etc. in senior Sales, Marketing, Finance and General Management positions. Additionally you will have access to a network of industry contacts through guest speakers from organisations such as Coca-Cola, Google and suppliers to major car manufacturing companies. If you decide to take the Entrepreneurship and Creativity module, you will receive further  support from business mentors at our Enterprise Centre, where you can, if you wish start your own company.

An honours degree (minimum 2.2) in any discipline.
Or a professional award at Diploma level (or equivalent) together with three years employment/professional experience. Or A-Level matriculation (or equivalent) together with six-years employment/professional experience. Or eight years post-18 employment/professional (full time or substantially full time permanent) experience. Course programme

Content of the programme includes themes of Brand Management, Consumer Research and Behaviour, Digital Communications and International Business, which will be based on a real-life marketing/communication challenge or project (e.g. a launch of a new product, positioning/branding/re-branding), which will be chosen by a student (or the&#;Student&#;team) in consultation with the&#;Strategic Planning Module Leader. This marketing issue will play a linchpin role for engaging with theoretical modules and practice real life application of theories and finding solutions. Following such a practice in a safe classroom environment the opportunity to carry out an industry-based marketing/communications research project.&#;

The Strategic Planning module will include market/marketing analyses, positioning, strategizing, brand management and all aspects of planning (e.g. product development and launch, market campaigns) it will also introduce the above mentioned real-life marketing challenges/projects. Consumer Behaviour is focused on understanding customer's psychology. The&#;Applied Communications ( credits) module is of crucial importance to a future marketing practitioner, it includes all aspects of advertisement and communication targeted to consumers (B2C), customers (B2B) and broader external relations – branding, packaging, advertisement, POS/merchandise, PR, endorsements, as well as using Digital and Social Media.&#; &#; Core&#; Candidates are required to take&#;&#;

Course Information​As the influence of technology continues to evolve, marketers are increasingly required to possess the necessary skills and expertise to implement, manage and evaluate the most effective strategies for today's globally connected business world and for those particularly interested in developing their expertise in the area of communications, a series of modules is offered to meet these needs.  Part-time study is not available for international students on a Tier 4 Student Visa.
