Massage for the head and hands is a treatment with almost universal appeal. For all ages, whether on a treatment couch or adapted for a chair, it can be sensitive and caring but non-invasive.

Massage on the scalp has the ability to bring deep relaxation at a physical and emotional level to so many people. Having our head stroked takes us back to the security of childhood and is powerfully comforting. Combine this with the very strong muscles which attach to the skull and are around the head and you can release a huge amount of tension throughout the body.

The hands are also a very specialised area, with their many thousands of nerve endings and the fact that we just work them so hard. In adrenal tension, we tighten them far more than we think and it’s only usually when someone massages them, that we realise how tense they are.

Massage for the two areas can be a stand-alone treatment, or combined with other treatments, but they are a great way to introduce someone to having massage and touch as well as being real hit with existing clients.
