The Master of International Security examines the relations among states and between states and non-state actors, including the history, current nature, and possible evolution of the international system. You will develop an understanding of both traditional and emerging security challenges and apply theories to real-world situations and current policy debates.

Bring together political, economic, social, security and cultural dimensions in the study of international affairs. Engage with a wide range of complex and interconnected issues, including the causes and consequences of war between states; ethnic, religious and ideological conflicts; threats to human security and the stability of states from environmental degradation, infectious diseases, climate change, nuclear proliferation, and the activities of non-state actors.

This course draws on a wide range of fields including defence, international relations, strategic studies, political science, economics, environmental studies, law, business, public health, biology and demography.
