International law regulates the relations between States and with other actors at the international level and can affect society in a variety of ways, both internationally and at the domestic level. It helps us to explain and analyse interactions in the international community and their impact within national societies.Having completed both Principles and Advanced Principles of International Law at the start of their program to acquire the skills necessary to navigate the international legal system, students will have the opportunity to focus on areas of particular interest through a vast array of elective courses, many of which will require the completion of a substantial research paper. The Master of Laws International Law Augmentation will be relevant to you if your work involves consideration of international relations and transnational activities; you are interested in governmental and non-governmental organisations; and/or you are concerned with issues such as human rights, international trade, the use of force or international dispute settlement.Having canvassed the breadth of the international legal system, student may wish to deepen their study of specific international legal issues through the pursuit of a SJD or PhD.
