Course programme

Programme Structure - Face to Face

To qualify with an LLM, students are required to take the module that bears the title of their chosen programme and write a 10,000-word dissertation in the area of their ‘core’ module. In addition, students are required to select three electives.

Assessment involves the writing of a memorandum of advice on a set topic within each module (worth 30 per cent of the marks for that module) and an unseen examination.

In the case of the LLM in Chinese Business and Investment Law, the LLM in Islamic Finance and Business Law and the LLM in Advanced Islamic Finance and Business Law, students are required to take two-three ‘core’ modules reducing the number of elective modules that can be taken.
