The Master of Studies is a flexible option for graduate studies at ANU for students whose needs are not met by following a program of study in a single academic discipline. Subject to meeting course entry requirements, you will be able to select courses from across the graduate course offerings available, allowing you to structure your studies and direct your learning in a way that meets your academic, personal and professional interests and enables you to develop skills and expertise in a range of learning areas, for example, a combination of courses in art history, environmental science, finance and management.

About this course

A Bachelor degree or international equivalent with a minimum GPA of 5/7.
Or At least 3 years work experience in a cognate discipline and a minimum GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) score of 550 or higher (minimum 5.0 in Analytical Writing)
Or the GRE General test with a minimum score of 150 for Verbal Reasoning, 150 for Quantitative Reasoning and 4.0 in Analytical Writing.
All applicants must meet the University’s English Language Admission Requirements for Students

Course programme

The Master of Studies requires the completion of 96 units, of which:

96 units must come from 6000-level, 7000-level and 8000-level courses

The 96 units must consist of:

A maximum of 36 units from courses from the graduate classification: Transitional

A minimum of 36 units from completion of courses from the following graduate classifications:

Advanced

Specialist

A minimum of 12 units from courses from the graduate classification: Research
