The Master of Teaching (Early Childhood) will allow you to obtain a teaching qualification if you have a bachelor degree in a field other than education.

This course meets professional teaching standards for the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership and Queensland College of Teachers, and graduates are eligible to apply for teacher registration. Graduates are also recognised as qualified early childhood teachers under the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority framework.

Academic entry requirements
A completed recognised three year bachelor degree (or equivalent) not in education or in a course leading to teacher registration, with a minimum grade point average (GPA) score of 4.0  (on QUT's 7 point scale).

Units Download course structures and unit outlines for Master of Teaching (Early Childhood) You are required to undertake professional experience or work integrated placements (WIL) as part of your course. Units which contain professional experience components are recorded as designated units. If you have not successfully completed all assessment items, or on-campus components in a designated unit, you will not be placed on your professional experience. If you fail a unit containing professional experience, you are required to repeat all components of the unit. You must have a valid Blue card to be eligible for professional experience placements. If you do not follow the standard course progression (e.g. due to a fail grade, non-enrolment in units, or advanced standing), you may extend your course duration.
