With outstanding industry placement opportunities and world-renowned lecturers, you will learn the practical skills and theory necessary to become a leader in this dynamic sector.This program will give you specialist training in the field of transport management, with particular focus on policy and strategic planning. You will develop specialist skills in: applying the concepts, techniques and principles that underlie transport management, planning and analysis; understanding the relationships between government agencies and the private sector in the provision, financing, operation and maintenance of transport networks; using contemporary modelling techniques and data collection processes; managing the effects of current and future trends in transport. OUTLINE OF DEGREE STRUCTURE
The Master of Transport Management requires the completion of 60 credit points comprising:
- 42 credit points in core units of study, and
- 18 credit points in elective units of study.
Core units of study
(1) Foundation units:
- ITLS5100 Transport & Infrastructure Foundations; and
- ITLS5200 Quantitative Logistics & Transport.
(2) Advanced units:
- ITLS6101 Global Freight Logistics Management,
- ITLS6102 Strategic Transport Planning,
- ITLS6103 Sustainable Transport Policy, and
- ITLS6106 Infrastructure Appraisal.
(3) Capstone unit:
- ITLS6190 Transport & Infrastructure Systems.
