This Master’s degree is aimed at building energy, sustainability, and renewable energy experts in urban environments. Throughout the program, the students will be requested to apply the new knowledge to develop energy housing building projects and building certification projects, among others. Moreover, by the end of the program, the students will have built the necessary skills to apply for an energy management auditor, or energy and environmental consulting credentials from either LEED or BREEAM Certifications, among other professional opportunities.

Manuel Macías
Academic Director
PhD in Physical Science. Manuel Macias is a University professor at the Architecture Technical Institute (E.T.S.) as well as a professor of Environmental Science and Environmental Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM). He is also a member of the Building Energy Efficiency Certification Consulting Committee from the Housing and Industry Ministry, as well as the GBCe (Green Building Council Spain) I+D group director and LEED RT group. He is currently the President of the International Building Performance Simulation Association IBPSA-Spain.
