This is a nine week intensive course (5 hours per week) for students who have failed to get a grade C at GCSE by just a few percent and wish to resit the exams in November.
What will I study?
After a short time spent recaping the main points of the GCSE course, students will concentrate on exam questions and exam techniques.
What are the entry requirements for Mathematics GCSE (November Re-sit)?
You should only apply for this course if you meet, or expect to meet, the following requirements:-
- High grade D at GCSE
- Examination at the end of the course

How close to a grade C do I need to be?
We recommend within 2 or 3 percent but students circumstances can vary, so talk to someone in the Maths department if you are not sure if this is the course for you. If you are not sure what your marks mean then you can contact your school who will be able to give you a breakdown of your module/exam scores.
Do I need a calculator?
Yes - the calculator you used for your GCSE Maths at school should be fine.
What happens if I don't pass the exam in November?
You can join another GCSE Maths group and do the exam in May/June.
Do I need to do coursework?
No - there is no longer a coursework requirement for GCSE Mathematics.
