What will I learn?
This course is for those who wish to increase their knowledge and improve their skills to Grade C or above. Or those who are simply interested in improving their mathematical skills. As with all GCSE courses the National Curriculum is compulsory. You will study: number; shape and space; algebra and data handling. Each area of study is of equal importance. Some use is made of Information Technology, particularly for self-study.

How will I be assessed?
Methods of assessment include three written exam papers throuought the year. The awarding body is AQA.

What could I do next?
You could progress to AS/A Level, or other courses such as teacher training which specify a pass grade at GCSE in mathematics as an entry requirement.
