You will be assessed on your English and Maths skills at interview.
After applying you will have an interview to determine which course is suitable for your needs and abilities.

  • You can work with numbers, symbols, and simple diagrams to solve problems. You can add and subtract and do easy multiplication. You can use fractions and simple decimals.


What qualification will I receive?
You will receive a Free Standing Maths Qualification in Making Sense of Data

Where can it lead?
It will assist entry onto GCSE Maths or other courses, including Access, GNVQ and NVQ, that require Maths at an equivalent level.

What will I study?
Subjects you will study include: Percentages, Fractions, Decimals, Averages, Number, Charts & Graphs, Approximation. You will need to apply your skills in real life scenarios.

How will I be taught?
You will attend lectures and and have a mixture of individual/group working.

How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed by: 50% portfolio; 50% examination.

What support is available while I am on the course?
You are supported by your tutor through the duration of the course. The College's extensive learning resources are available to you. Language support may be available for you if English is not your first language.
