About this course

You’ll develop competences and abilities in the field of data science applied by the business industry. Learn to distinguish the internal and external sources of Big Data and strategic information required to modelling organisational performance. Determine the best analytic tools and practices to be used in specific scenarios such as learning machine, statistical learning, mining, social media analysis, Internet of Things, cloud and simulation. Design prescriptive organisational model and solutions using inferential statistic and informatic software such as R and Python.

Solve complex problems using appropriate decision-making techniques including identifying, formulating and solving business problems. Develop critical thinking skills and reflect on the ways in which organisational processes produce enormous volume of data and the multidisciplinary techniques that can be used to manipulate the data to generate analytics and business solutions.

The programme will also offer you an optional placement year, enabling you to gain professional experience, putting your university learnings and experience into practice.

The business magazine, Forbes, has calculated that successful MBA graduates pay back the cost of their qualifications within four to five years on average – with lifetime earnings greatly enhanced thanks to the qualification.
