Skilled engineers are currently in short supply and excellent career opportunities exist as design, production or project engineers at technician engineer level. This programme has been specifically designed in collaboration with employers to bridge that gap and to support talented and skilled practitioners into sustainable employment. Many former students are now employed by major companies such as EDF Energy, Westinghouse (Springfields Fuels Ltd), BAE Systems, Airbus, NIC, GEC and Ford Motor Company as design, production, project or research and development engineers. Others have continued their studies to degree level, progressing to our own BEng (Hons) Mechanical and Production Engineering, awarded by Lancaster University.
