The Master’s degree program in Mechatronics at the JKU expands on the corresponding undergraduate degree programs in engineering and natural sciences. Graduates are able to solve a variety of challenging tasks in business and further develop disciplines in mechatronics. Students can choose from a wide array of specialization fields ranging from hydraulics to model-based mechatronic design and microsystems to radar technology. Graduates of the Master’s degree program are qualified to pursue a doctorate degree at a university in Austria or abroad.

The Master’s degree in “Mechatronics” at the JKU focuses on:
Advanced education in principles of engineering and natural sciences
Individual disciplines of mechatronics on a broad scale
Actively demonstrating and reinforcing theoretical content through hands-on exercises, internships, and project work
Providing a wide range of in-depth study opportunities as part of the program
In addition, the program focuses on conveying skills to:
Analyze and understand complex mechatronical systems, including their mechanical, electrical, and software-related parts and internal processes
Quickly familiarize yourself with one area and intensify your knowledge
Work in a solution-oriented manner both independently and as part of a team
BA in Mechatronics (JKU) or a comparable undergraduate degree equivalent in content and scope.
