Media and Cultural Studies : PhD

Communication and Media Studies at Lancaster is ranked first in The Times and the Sunday Times Good University Guide Subject Rankings 2016 and studies of Media and Cultural Studies make up a strong component of research and teaching in the Sociology Department at Lancaster. You will be supervised by academics specialising in the analysis of power, value, identity and difference in contemporary media and cultural life. We offer supervision in areas as diverse as globalised culture, brands and commodities, queer theory, and platform culture.
