We’ll support you to enhance your existing Foundation Degree or HND-level knowledge and skills, ready to achieve the status of BA (Hons) Media Production (Top-up) graduate. You can study key aspects of media production and boost your employability across a range of roles.

You’ll be encouraged to research the defining characteristics of different sectors in media-related industries, which will help you understand the career opportunities available in the sector. Assignments are intended to help you develop a positive and realistic understanding of potential career paths. They’re designed to enhance your confidence and inform the way in which you approach the employment market or further study.

As well as attending lectures and presentations by successful professional practitioners, who’ll discuss their work and its influences, you’ll be expected to produce a major film/video project, such as a documentary, drama or something more experimental. This will form the basis for a bid for commission. To complete the course successfully, you’ll need to produce creative and original practical work and identify how that work is critically underpinned.
