This course will offer you the opportunity to develop a thorough understanding of how the media plays a central role in contemporary culture, society and politics.

Course programme
Students are taught in mixed environments and utilise high-end media software and hardware to produce their own coursework. Students are classroom-based for 3 hours per week, and 1.5 hours are spent learning how to use media technologies.
The course is 50% coursework (internally assessed) and 50% examination (externally assessed).
Staying at Gower College Swansea, students can progress on to the Foundation Degree in English and History. Further study at university in subject areas including media studies, journalism, public relations, marketing and film studies.
Ideally, students should have a grade B in GCSE English Language or English Literature.
