TQUK - Training Qualifications UK

This TQUK Level 1 Award in Introduction to Health, Social Care & Children & Young Peoples settings is aimed at developing knowledge and understanding of the range of service provision and roles, principles and values within health and social care. The course presumes no knowledge and will provide a platform for those looking to progress onto further courses at Levels 2 & 3.

Course Syllabus

Learners will complete 4 units of study in total as listed below.

  • Understand the range of service provision and roles within health and social care adults and children and young people, early years and childcare
  • Understand the principles and values in health and social care – adults and children and young people, early years and childcare
  • Awareness of protection and safeguarding in health and social care adults and children and young people, early years and childcare
  • Introduction to communication in health and social care adults and children and young people, early years and childcare
Assessment

Learners will be required to complete a series of tutor marked assignments ( normally 1 after each unit) as they progress through this course. Each assignment will contain a variety of tasks/questions. These assignments are assessed by your tutor to monitor progress. You will be provided with constructive feedback to help you in completing each unit to the required standard.

Additional information

Students have a maximum of one year to complete. Course duration approx. 200 hours.
