A fun, friendly, interactive photography course provider of basic photography courses, where you will gain confidence with your photography.

Our courses cater for all levels Photography and most cameras. Covering a range of skills from basic photography and lighting to Wedding Photography Courses, Night Time and Event Photography. We also run courses with the National Trust on the Ashridge Estate, plus 1:1 sessions including post production. Please enquire about places for the 2011 Diploma.

Small groups and relaxed environment with practical excersises designed for you to get to know your equipment and be more confident using your digital camera.Interaction with other people on the workshops will help you create great looking images by the end of the day.

What I would highlight: The course was clearly set out with a few definite objectives that were taught well and therefore easy to learn and understand. There were 6 in our group which was a nice number allowing us all to get some personal tuition. I also loved having a model to photograph. Monique is so professional, posing for each of us in turn which meant that we could put into practice what Phil was teaching us and come away with some great results!
I'd definitely recommend Melen Courses for the friendly and helpful attitude of Phil Richardson who runs the courses. He's professional and extremely knowledgeable, but most importantly is very happy to impart that knowledge both during and after the course - as well as any other useful information or links to websites that you may need. Lastly the Studio is set in beautiful surroundings which makes for a lovely day out whilst learning some interesting stuff
What could be improved: The rain.....not the trainer's fault! I really can't think of anything else to add but emagister requires 100 characters minimum so writing this has taken up that space!
