About this course

Gain a strong engineering background alongside building additional skills in leadership and management.

You will have the opportunity to arrange a year-long work placement in between your second and third years. This gives you a real-world experience to prepare you for your future career.

This must include at least two A levels or equivalent BTEC National qualifications (to include mathematics and physics or chemistry). For example:ABB at A Level including relevant subjects.DDM in BTEC Extended Diploma in a relevant subject.A combination of qualifications which must include relevant subjects and may include AS levels and EPQ

Live projects

You're encouraged to gain practical experience through reverse engineering projects and cover other important associated subjects, such as the health and safety requirements of the industry. You will work on group and individual projects to develop your skills in applying your knowledge to chemical engineering problems.

We offer plenty of support outside the classroom by allocating you an academic tutor and through organising drop-in sessions where you can meet academics without appointment for a variety of support relating to your assignments, projects, exams, maths, English, statistics, computing and programming so no one is left behind.
