Course introduction: Software engineering is a mature and established profession which attracts talented students and offers excellent career opportunities. MEng in Software Engineering builds on the success of our existing BEng degree and offers an advanced award in recognition of a more comprehensive and challenging course of study. The course incorporates supervised work experience and is tailored to 4.5 years full-time. The course recognises professionalism in the development of excellent quality software, using industry recognised tools and techniques in a range of application areas. Studied full-time over five years and one trimester, the course also involves lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions and independent study. This course is also offered with a year-long industry based work placement in year three of study.
