Course programme

E-learning course covering the main points of the Mental Health Act as they apply to England only (we have a separate course covering Wales only). The Act was originally introduced in 1983 and was amended in 2007, although many of the 1983 sections remain. The course covers the definition of mental disorder, the new Code of Practice, the admission sections of the Act, Supervised Community Treatment, the different professional roles and how to appeal against decisions taken under the Act.
