This course covers a broad view of mental illness including, depression, dementia and confusional states, risk assessment, paraphrenia and anxiety related disorders. Each illness is looked at in detail, discussing causes, symptoms and treatments. Risk assessment looks at different sorts of risk and how they should be managed, also included is assessing suicide risk and suicide prevention.
