Mentoring is a training methodology that refers to a relationship (formal or informal) one to one, between a subject with more experience (senior, mentor) and one with less experience (junior, mentee, protégé), i.e. a pupil, in order to make the latter develop skills. It is implemented through the construction of a medium-long term relationship, which is envisaged as a guided learning path, in which the mentor (guide, support, role model, change facilitator) voluntarily offers knowledge and skills acquired and shares them. in the form of teaching and transmission of experience, to favor the personal and professional growth of the mentee, according to a top-down logic. The mentor is a person who as a first characteristic has a strong motivation to guide and advise the mentee, with less experience.
