History
The history of Merseyside Dance & Drama Centre is entwined with the history of the dynamic driving force behind the college’s success, Gaynor Owen.The college as we know it today originated in small dancing classes given by Miss Owen at various locations throughout Merseyside and North Wales and by 1956 the school had flourished and become established in its own premises in Birkenhead. By 1983 the college had outgrown the Birkenhead studios and moved to new studios in Camden Street in the heart of Liverpool. With nine studios over four floors, MDDC is now one of the largest dedicated dance and musical theatre performance educators in the North of England.

Dedicated dance teacher training puts the world at your feet and the full Musical Theatre programme is available through audition at the end of the first year.
