The meteorologist is responsible for analyzing and studying atmospheric phenomena by interpreting the physical and chemical processes of the atmosphere to predict and monitor climate change. Until a few years ago the weather forecasts were very inaccurate: the methods and techniques of analysis and interpretation were not as precise as today, and you could easily run into big errors. Today, everything is different. Technology evolves and is continually improved and implemented, allowing meteorologists to draw up more precise and safer bulletins, helping the entire population, production activities and local authorities. The goal of all his tasks and daily duties is to create as reliable analyzes as possible on changes in the weather in a certain area within a certain period of time. To draw up these forecasts, it can use data from various tools and sources. Obviously there are research and investigation historians (if, for example, he has to work comparatively between two areas or two historical periods). Furthermore, technology comes to its aid with some of the most precious discoveries of contemporary sciences. In particular, the most important are: weather station, probe and satellite. The data from these tools alone does not serve to create a reliable interpretation. Furthermore, they would be hard to understand by someone who is not a meteorologist. In order to be effectively useful and understandable by the population, they must therefore be inserted in the logical framework of a mathematical model, which tries to "predict" what are the possibilities and probabilities of the occurrence of a phenomenon. The result of the survey obtained with mathematical models is transformed into a written or image bulletin, more easily interpreted by the non-expert population, and sent to local public bodies, magazines, newspapers and websites, to developers of applications for the weather, and so on.
