This course is designed for anyone who wants to develop or improve their IT skills working with database application software.

Length of Study:
9 weeks of tutor support

Entry Requirements:
Students should have basic keyboard skills and be familiar with Microsoft Windows environment

Content:
Fundamentals; databases; table; sorting and filtering; finding and editing records in a table; create a new database and table; queries; forms; reports

Study Method:
Home or work based study with additional support and advice from personal tutor.

Assessments:
There is no formal assessment, but after completing the course students can, if they wish, obtain a College certificate by taking a final practical assessment.

Comments:
Students require access to a PC with Microsoft Office Software, although access to College computing facilities can be arranged if required.
