This 6-week Mindfulness course for beginners will walk you through the history and practices of mindfulness and teach you how to build this into your life; helping to make your life happier and healthier making smarter choices.
Aims:
1) You will explore the history, brain science and thinking undermining ancient and modern mindfulness
2) You will learn the four key mindfulness practices and learn ways to build these into your life
3) You will explore the key forms of compassion and resilience
4) You will learn how to calm you senses, anxieties or thinking.
5) You will learn how to incorporate mindfulness into your day
Outcomes:
1) To explain to others what mindfulness is and isn’t.
2) Identify four short and medium length practices to use in your day
3) Identify in yourself when you are not being mindful and be able to practice shifting into mindfulness
4) Apply more self-awareness
5) Explain the key skills associated with refrainment; taking a mindful pause before decision, response or action
